Britney Spears Arrested for DUI

American singer Britney Jean Spears, popularly referred to as the ‘Princess of Pop’ has been arrested in California. According to the police repots, the singer was driving under the influence.

Britney was arrested just after 9 p.m. on the evening of March 4, however, she was released the following morning.

Following her release, she is expected to appear in court May 4 at 8:15 a.m. local time to address her charges, according to her jail records.

“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being,” Britney’s rep told E! News.
