In another bout, Nigeria’s Rasheed Adeyemo will fight Tanzanian boxer Nicolaus Mdoe. The event will also feature matches involving Basit Adebayo vs Loren Japhet, and Samuel Antwi against Paul Kamanga.

Social media rivals Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, and Carter Efe are set to settle their long-standing feud in a boxing match scheduled to take place in Lagos.

The fight, titled “Chaos in the Ring,” will be held at the Federal Palace Hotel on May 1. The event is being organised by Balmoral Group Promotions in partnership with AK Promotions, a company owned by former world heavyweight boxing champion Amir Khan. The bout will also be broadcast worldwide on DAZN.

Portable, the controversial “Zazu” singer known for his outspoken personality, and Carter Efe, a popular content creator with millions of followers across social media platforms, have had disagreements online for some time. Promoters say their rivalry has created an opportunity to introduce influencer boxing to Africa.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Balmoral Group Promotions, Ezekiel Adamu, the event has been approved by the Nigeria Boxing Board of Control. He said the goal is to showcase African boxing talent to the global audience.

Adamu described the event as a chance to put Nigeria and Africa on the international boxing stage while highlighting fighters who have developed their careers on the continent.

Amir Khan also praised the enthusiasm for boxing in Africa, saying the passion shown by African fans and fighters is unique. He added that the upcoming event in Lagos promises to be exciting.

Apart from the celebrity fight, several professional boxing matches will also take place on the fight card.

In the main professional bout, Nigeria’s Ezra Arenyeka will face fellow Nigerian Godday Appah in a cruiserweight contest. The fight has been tagged the “Niger Delta Peace Fight.”

Other matches include Ghana’s Elvis Ahorgah against Britain’s Joe Laws in a super-middleweight bout. British boxer Michael McKinson will also fight Algerian prospect Mohammad Sahnoun.

Nigerian teenage boxer Raheem Animashaun, who became the youngest West African Boxing Union super-lightweight champion after turning professional at age 16, will face Tanzania’s Emmanuel Amos.

In another bout, Nigeria’s Rasheed Adeyemo will fight Tanzanian boxer Nicolaus Mdoe. The event will also feature matches involving Basit Adebayo vs Loren Japhet, and Samuel Antwi against Paul Kamanga.

The fight night is expected to attract large attention from fans in Nigeria and around the world.
