The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu on Monday formally decorated several newly promoted Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs), urging them to prioritise intelligence-led policing and closer cooperation with other security agencies to tackle evolving security threats.
Speaking at the ceremony, the police chief reminded the senior officers that their elevation placed them among the top decision-makers in the Nigeria Police Force and demanded high standards of leadership and accountability.

The officers decorated were Zachariah Fera Achinyan, Zango Ibrahim Baba, Isyaku Mohammed, Margaret Agebe Ochalla, Mohammed Abdul Sulaiman, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie and Umar Shehu Nadada. Another officer, Fayoade Adegoke, had earlier received the insignia in a separate ceremony last week.
