The BBNaija Season 5 winner made the disclosure in a video where he reflected on his personal journey following his rise to fame.

Reality television star and rapper Olamilekan Agbeleshebioba, popularly known as Laycon, has revealed that he lost his inner voice after winning the Big Brother Naija reality show in 2020.

The BBNaija Season 5 winner made the disclosure in a video where he reflected on his personal journey following his rise to fame.

According to Laycon, the experience left him struggling internally, as he could no longer hear the inner voice that once guided his thoughts and decisions.

He explained that he only regained that inner voice in December 2021, after hosting his sold-out concert, The Icons Fest.

“Has the world ever gone silent on you and all you have left was your own thoughts?” he asked.

“I have been there and I want to share a part of that experience with you. After I won Big Brother Naija in 2020, I lost my inner voice and the first time I heard that voice again was December 2021 after my sold-out concert, The Icons Fest,” he said.

The rapper further described how the voice began asking him deep personal questions about his life and happiness.

“The voice kept asking me questions like, ‘Is this really how you want to live? Are you enjoying yourself? What’s next after this? Are you happy?’” he said.

Laycon explained that the questions forced him to take time alone to reflect on his life and decisions.

According to him, those moments of solitude helped him confront uncomfortable truths and gain a better understanding of himself.

He also emphasised the importance of silence and self-reflection for personal growth, noting that taking time to listen to one’s inner thoughts can lead to important realizations.

Laycon urged his fans to prioritise self-reflection, describing it as a form of personal accountability that can help individuals grow and make better life choices.

The rapper rose to fame after winning the BBNaija “Lockdown” edition in 2020, becoming one of the most popular contestants in the show’s history.
