Grammy-winning singer Rihanna has left Los Angeles just hours after a shooting at her Beverly Hills residence.
The singer was photographed on Monday afternoon boarding a private jet at Van Nuys Airport, with her luggage loaded into vehicles and transported to the airport’s private wing.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz. Police said she arrived at Rihanna’s home last Sunday driving a Tesla and armed with a semi-automatic rifle, discharging approximately ten rounds at the property she shares with her partner, A$AP Rocky.
Investigators found four bullet holes in the gate and additional rounds at the garage of a neighbouring residence. Ortiz fled the scene but was apprehended about 12 kilometres away, and her vehicle was recovered.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that no one was injured in the attack. Ortiz has been formally charged with attempted murder, and authorities are investigating her motive.
