Tacha mourns late mother, shows off GWR plaques

Nigerian media personality, Tacha Akide popularly known as Tacha, has dedicated her Guinness World Record to her late mother who passed away 12 years ago.

The realty TV star on her Instagram page, showed off her Guinness World Record plaques, while celebrating her achievement of becoming the fastest makeup artist in the world.

Tacha credited her mother for teaching her the basic skills that led to such milestone, adding that she wishes she could celebrate moment like these with her.

“Records are broken. Some records are made. 82 makeovers in 8 hours. 143 makeovers in 24 hours. This wasn’t just about speed… it was about impact, dedication, and a decade of showing up for my craft. 10 years of building. 10 years of believing and 10 years of becoming. And today, the plaques say it all. Thank you to the SA @connectwithlagos for your unending support. The fastest makeup artist in the world. Thinking of you, mummy. I lost my mum, Stella, 12 years ago. My mom taught me everything I know today. Deep down, I wouldn’t be anything like who I am today if it weren’t for her. Every step, every win, every milestone… I wish I could run to you and say: Mummy, see… see what I did,” she stated.

Tacha expressed her admiration for her late mother, Stella, revealing that she misses her. She also expressed her gratitude for the achievement, reveling that she is focused on what is to come.

“Makeup… my first love. The love that grew into passion. The passion that has now birthed 2 Guinness World Records. The hardest part of moments like this is knowing I can’t see you, I can’t hug you, I can’t call you and say: “Mummy, your daughter is breaking boundaries. Mummy, I miss you so much. I wish you were here to see this. But I know you’re watching me. Your daughter did it. Grateful. Focused. Just getting started”, she concluded
