The guest lecturer, Sheikh Shabaabu did justice to the topic given him which was: Islam, Ramadan and Refinement of Character by emphasising that good character is Islam and that it is that character that Ramadan has come to refine.

He urged all Muslims to imbibe the teachings of the Qur’an and the traditions of the noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on good character and godliness.

He reminded Muslims of the verses of the Qur’an where Allah asks faithful to see Prophet Muhammad as the role model in all their affairs and imbibe his character.

He said Ramadan has brought the noble lessons of justice and equality to us which anyone who wanted to see himself as a Muslim must fulfill in his relations with fellow human beings.

He enjoined love and peaceful co-existence among all peoples. He commended the Olororuwa for his steadfastness on Islam and issues of humanity, praying for the monarch’s long life on goodness.

The monarch himself who was linguistically analytical, to the awe of the audience, in his definition of Ramadan concluded that Muslims are to be God conscious and righteous in the morning, afternoon and night.

He reminded all that God created mankind and the jins primarily to worship Him. He prayed for the peace and progress of the country and the world.

He urged piety and abundant love among the people of the different religions, tribes and ethnic groups in the country.
