After that match, they will host PSG in the second leg of the Champions League tie next Tuesday, where they must attempt a difficult comeback to keep their hopes of progressing in the competition alive.

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has said the club will investigate how their starting lineup was leaked before their recent match against Paris Saint-Germain.

The leak reportedly appeared online hours before the match, raising concerns inside the club about how confidential team information became public.

Chelsea suffered a heavy 5–2 defeat to PSG in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match on Wednesday night in Paris.

PSG started the match strongly and took an early lead in the 10th minute when Bradley Barcola scored after a quick attacking move. Chelsea responded well and managed to equalize 18 minutes later through defender Malo Gusto, who finished calmly to bring the visitors back into the game.

However, the home side regained the lead before halftime when Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé found the back of the net in the 40th minute, giving PSG a 2–1 advantage going into the break.

Chelsea fought back early in the second half. Midfielder Enzo Fernández scored in the 57th minute to level the score at 2–2, giving the English side hope of taking a positive result away from France.

Despite the comeback, Chelsea struggled in the final stages of the match. A costly mistake by goalkeeper Filip Jørgensen allowed Vitinha to score PSG’s third goal in the 74th minute.

PSG continued to dominate late in the game. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored two goals in the final ten minutes to seal an impressive 5–2 victory for the French champions.

Speaking after the match at Parc des Princes, Rosenior said he was not aware that Chelsea’s lineup had been leaked before kickoff. However, he confirmed that the club would look into the situation.

“I wasn’t aware. I’m sure we will get to the bottom of it if that’s the case,” Rosenior said during his post-match press conference.

Chelsea will now shift their focus to the Premier League, where they are scheduled to face Newcastle United on Saturday.

After that match, they will host PSG in the second leg of the Champions League tie next Tuesday, where they must attempt a difficult comeback to keep their hopes of progressing in the competition alive.
