Osimhen on target as Galatasaray crush Basaksehir

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his fine scoring form as Galatasaray thrashed İstanbul Basaksehir 3-0 in a Turkish Süper Lig clash on Saturday, keeping the Istanbul giants firmly in the title race.

Wilfried Singo opened the scoring in the 57th minute after sustained pressure from Galatasaray’s frontline, before Osimhen doubled the lead in the 66th, putting the visitors out of contention.

Renato Nhaga completed the scoring in the 84th minute, sealing a dominant home victory.

The Nigerian striker’s strike highlighted his growing influence in the team, as Galatasaray controlled the match from start to finish, leaving İstanbul Başakşehir chasing shadows.

With the win, Galatasaray maintain their strong position atop the Süper Lig, while attention now turns to their Champions League second-leg clash against Liverpool on Wednesday.
