Afrobeats star Davido has condemned a viral video showing a disturbing bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Secondary School in Edo State.

The music sensation reacted to the video on X on Sunday, expressing outrage at the conduct of the students captured in the footage.

“F***ing animals… so disgusting,” the singer wrote in response to the clip circulating online.

In the viral video, two male students were seen repeatedly beating and kicking another student who had fallen to the ground.

One of the attackers was captured dragging the victim by his school suit and stomping on his chest while the boy cried in pain. A third student, who recorded the incident, could be heard pleading with them to stop.

The video has sparked widespread outrage on social media, prompting swift disciplinary action from the school authorities.

According to a statement from the Edo State Police Command, the management of the school has expelled the students directly involved in the bullying.

The student who recorded the video has also been suspended.

Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Monday Agbonika, had ordered the Divisional Police Officer in the area to conduct a full investigation into the incident.

“The Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the statement said.
