Francis Odega opens up on relationship with Sam Loco

Nollywood veteran Francis Odega has opened up on his relationship with late legendary actor Sam Loco Efe, speaking on his influence on his career and personal life.

The actor, while speaking on the ‘Where is the Lie’ podcast, explained that Sam Loco helped shape his acting career. Odega revealed that the late actor had a unique approach to acting, stating that he rarely followed scripts exactly as written.

“Sam Loco taught me a whole lot. Sam Loco no dey read script. Him go look when them write come rephrase am. He was the one who trained me. I been dey carry Sam Loco bag. I was like a PA to him just to learn, and I think I learnt well,” he said.

Odega also disclosed that Sam Loco treated him like a son and accepted his wife as his daughter. He spoke fondly of the actor, reminiscing on past experiences together.

”That time he treated me like a son and would often call my wife his daughter. Sometimes he would give me money, like 50K to give my wife. I no go lie you, as I reach house na 10K I go come give my wife. She’ll now say, can I call him and thank him, I go come tell her say, no worry I don thank am already. But I don already confess am give my wife…,” he added in Pidgin English.
