Dexta Africa has marked its third anniversary by deepening its investment in professional training and industry education, a move aimed at strengthening standards and ethical practices in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding real estate sector.

The Nigerian real estate industry, estimated to be worth over $20 billion, has continued to attract growing interest from investors and home seekers. However, stakeholders say the sector’s fast-paced growth has also exposed gaps in professionalism, transparency, and technical knowledge among practitioners.

Commemorating three years of operations, Dexta Africa said it chose to celebrate the milestone through initiatives focused on knowledge sharing and capacity building, stressing that sustainable industry growth depends largely on the quality of professionals driving it.

“A stronger real estate industry begins with better informed professionals. Our third anniversary is not just about looking back at achievements, but about investing in the future of the sector through education and ethical practice,” the company noted.

Nigeria currently faces a housing deficit estimated at over 20 million units, even as major urban centres such as Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt continue to experience population growth and increased demand for housing and property investment opportunities. Analysts say these pressures make improved training, proper documentation, and investor confidence critical for long-term sector stability.

In response to these challenges, Dexta Africa in 2025 launched Dexta Clan, an educational platform designed to equip real estate practitioners with practical skills in client advisory, property finance, documentation standards, and long-term investment strategy. Within its first year, the initiative reportedly trained hundreds of professionals across different segments of the industry.

As part of its anniversary activities, the company on March 13, 2026, organised a Professional Certification Training at the Enterprise Development Centre of Lagos Business School, where participants engaged in sessions on ethical real estate advisory, market intelligence, sustainable property investment, and compliance-driven documentation practices.

According to the company, the training reflects its broader vision of promoting credibility and professionalism within the property market.

“Real estate transactions are built on trust. By prioritising education and professional standards, we are contributing to the development of a more responsible and transparent industry,” it added.

The management also added that three years after its founding, Dexta Africa is increasingly positioning itself not only as a property development firm but also as a contributor to human capital development within Nigeria’s real estate ecosystem.

Industry watchers believe such initiatives could play a significant role in shaping a more structured market where knowledge, ethical conduct, and investor protection remain central to business operations.
