A middle-aged man, Michael Ogungbemi, has been arrested by operatives of the Edo State Security Corps (ESSC), for alleged the defilement of two under-aged girls.
The suspect was arrested at Ogbegun community, Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of the State, where he violated the victims said to be his stepdaughter and her 13-year-old schoolmate, both in JSS1.
It was gathered that the suspect encouraged the stepdaughter to bring her friends home and in the process also defile one of them and threatened his victims never to reveal what transpired to anyone or he kill them.
The bubble, however, burst when the stepdaughter’s friend suddenly took ill in school and her female teacher who spotted her quickly informed her parents who rushed her to the hospital.
Following examination by the doctor, it was discovered that she has contracted bacterial infections and after much pressure, the minor later disclosed that the suspect has been having canal knowledge of her and his stepdaughter.
The parents immediately contacted operatives of the Corps, and the suspect was promptly arrested.
The stepdaughter confessed that the suspect used to touch amorously when her mother had gone to work after sending her younger sister and brother errand.
The suspect who confessed to the crime blamed it on the devil.
The Corps Deputy Commander, Richard Balogu who confirmed the incident said the suspect has confessed to sleeping with the minors.
He said the suspect was arrested following a tip-off and has been handed over to the police for prosecution.
