Eid-el Fitri: Osun police greet Muslims, assure residents of adequate security

The Osun State Police Command has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful across the State as they complete observation of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Ibrahim Gotan, mnips, also assured “the good people of Osun State and all travelers, of the readiness and preparedness of the State Command to guarantee the safety of lives and property in all major and strategic locations before, during and after Eid-El Fitri celebration.”
Gotan further assured all residents that: “In line with its constitutional mandate of ensuring the safety of lives and property, the Command has put in place adequate security measures across the state. Strategic deployments of personnel have been carried out to mosques, prayer grounds, markets, and other public places to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration.”
The Command also urged parents and guardians to caution their wards against any form of misconduct, unlawful gatherings, or activities that could disrupt public peace.
Religious and community leaders are encouraged to continue to preach messages of harmony, mutual respect, and lawful conduct even after the Ramadan.
Furthermore, the Command urged all road users/motorists to obey all traffic rules and regulations.
CP Gotan gave the assurance in a goodwill message released on his behalf by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, on Wednesday in Osogbo to the Muslim faithful.

The Commissioner of Police wishes all Muslim faithful and visitors to Osun State a joyous and peaceful Sallah celebration.
