Bournemouth battled back to secure a dramatic 2-2 draw against Manchester United in a pulsating Premier League encounter that saw late drama, a red card, and a stoppage-time finish.

United took the lead in the 61st minute when Bruno Fernandes calmly converted from the penalty spot, giving the visitors control after a tightly contested first half.

However, Bournemouth responded strongly, with Ryan Christie restoring parity in the 67th minute after a well-worked move that beat the United defence.

United regained the lead in the 71st minute in fortunate circumstances when Bournemouth’s James Hill turned the ball into his own net, putting the visitors back in front.

The game took a decisive turn in the 78th minute when Harry Maguire was shown a red card for a foul that also resulted in a penalty for Bournemouth.

Eli Junior Kroupi stepped up and converted from the spot in the 81st minute, levelling the score at 2-2 and setting up a tense finale.

Despite intense pressure from both sides, neither team could find a winner in the closing stages, even with nine minutes of added time.

The result leaves United frustrated after letting their lead slip twice, while Bournemouth will take confidence from their resilience against strong opposition.
