Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has weighed in on the long-running debate over who earns more, footballers or musicians,  during a Twitch live session with entertainer Carter Efe.

The conversation began outdoors, when Carter Efe asked Osimhen directly about the comparison. The striker avoided making direct claims about individual musicians, focusing instead on the financial rewards of football.

“I don’t like indulging in such conversations, but footballers get money oh I no go whine you. Look at all what I’ve got at the age of 27,” Osimhen said, emphasizing the lucrative nature of his career while declining to compare himself to musicians by name.

Later in the interview, inside the venue, Carter Efe highlighted his personal perspective on Osimhen’s wealth. Citing recent experiences, including gifts Osimhen gave him, Efe said, “From what you did for me, the Casa Migos, and all, I am very sure you are richer than Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.”

Osimhen again refrained from agreeing to direct comparisons but maintained a professional stance on the topic. He also shared insights into his approach to possessions and asset management, saying, “I have taken it upon myself that any car I have, point my finger to his already my car because…” highlighting his personal method of tracking ownership and investments.

Beyond financial matters, Victor Osimhen opened up about family, revealing the impact of losing his mother and the close bond he shares with his siblings.

“My parents are the ones I miss the most in this world… my siblings are the parents in this world, and I’m glad I’ve put all my six siblings on,” he said, underscoring his commitment to family despite personal loss.

The exchange has generated widespread discussion on social media, with fans debating the relative earnings of top athletes and musicians in Nigeria
