The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially announced the start of sales of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for members who want to contest leadership positions within the party.

The forms are for the party’s upcoming ward, local government, and state congresses, as well as its national convention, where key party leaders and delegates will be selected.

This announcement was made in a public notice issued from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja and signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Chinedu Idigo.

According to the party, any interested and qualified member is expected to obtain the necessary forms and complete the process before the deadline.

The Expression of Interest form costs ₦2,000 for all aspirants. However, the nomination fees vary depending on the position being contested.

At the ward level, aspirants for chairman will pay ₦10,000, those contesting for secretary will pay ₦5,000, while all other positions cost ₦3,000 each.

At the local government level, the chairman position is priced at ₦40,000, the secretary position costs ₦30,000, and other offices are ₦10,000 eac7h.

At the state level, the fees are much higher. Aspirants for chairman are to pay ₦500,000, those contesting for secretary will pay ₦300,000, while other positions attract a fee of ₦50,000 each.

For the national convention, the party fixed the nomination fee for delegates at ₦10,000 per person. Each local government area is allowed to produce only one delegate.

In addition, all aspirants must be nominated by party members. Each nominator is required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦500. The number of nominators needed depends on the position being contested, ranging from as few as five people at the ward level to as many as 50 for top state positions. In some cases, nominators must come from different areas to ensure wider representation.

The party also stated that all payments must be made through bank transfer into its designated account. Aspirants are required to present proof of payment before they can collect their forms.

Completed forms must be submitted on or before March 27, 2026, as late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstance.

The screening of all aspirants is scheduled to take place between March 30 and March 31, 2026, after which the party will proceed with the congresses and convention.

The ADC urged its members to follow the guidelines strictly and participate peacefully in the process as it prepares to strengthen its internal structure ahead of future political activities.
