‘Vote for Tinubu if you don’t want war,’ Portable blows hot
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has stirred controversy by making threatening statements to rally for political support.
The singer, in a video was seen invoking traditional deities while urging people to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He explained that he is now affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), claiming that he was given branded palliatives to distribute to supporters.
Portable also warned Yorubas to vote for the president for his second term, claiming that the country might experience war if Tinubu is not elected again.
”We need peace, we want peace. If you don’t want war in Nigeria, you better vote for Tinubu. Thunder and Ogun will strike any Yoruba man who doesn’t. I have been signed, given APC clothes — don’t worry, I will soon start sharing rice and vegetable oil,” he stated.
