‘You are not ready’- Omotola Jalade blasts presenter who asked her to ‘introduce herself’

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, caused a stir after she briefly refused to engage a young presenter who asked her to introduce herself at an event in Lagos.

The incident happened during the 46th Miss Nigeria Patrons & Board Dinner held on Sunday, where the actress was among top dignitaries in attendance.

In a video now circulating on social media, the presenter, who appeared inexperienced, approached the actress during a live segment and said, “Alright, welcome to 2026 Miss Nigeria dinner. I am currently live with…?”

The question appeared to catch Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde off guard as she paused, visibly surprised by the request.

Reacting, the actress questioned the presenter’s professionalism.

“You are here with who? I should tell you my name? You are not ready,” she said.

Despite the presenter’s attempt to explain that he already knew her identity and only wanted to include it as part of his interview flow, the actress was not convinced.

“I know you, Omotola Jalade, I just want fans to know who I am with,” the presenter added.

However, she dismissed the explanation, replying, “Why should I let fans know me? I am tired.”

The actress then made moves to walk away from the interaction, though the presenter continued to plead as the interview reportedly continued briefly.
