Nigerian singer, Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka professionally known as Chike, has spoken up about the marital advice he received from his mother.
The singer, while speaking in a recent episode of Ada’s Room podcast, revealed that his mother advised him never to marry from a poor family or settle with an unemployed lady.
Chike explained that marrying from a poor background may eventually become a financial burden on him.
“I think everybody should look for a partner that has value. Personally, my mum advised me never to settle down with a woman who doesn’t have a source of livelihood regardless of love. She also told me never to marry someone with the baggage of family responsibilities, especially a firstborn that is not productive,” he stated.
The 33-year-old urged men to look beyond physical attraction when choosing a partner, noting that they should marry people of value.
