Iran’s Navy commander Admiral Tangsiri confirmed Killed

Quick Read

Israel has confirmed the killing of a top Iranian military official in a targeted strike, with Defense Minister Israel Katz naming the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, as the victim.

Israel has confirmed the killing of a top Iranian military official in a targeted strike, with Defense Minister Israel Katz naming the commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, as the victim.

Katz said Tangsiri was directly responsible for mining and blocking the Strait of Hormuz, a critical maritime route, calling his elimination a “message” to the IRGC. “The IDF will hunt you down and eliminate you one by one,” he said during a military assessment earlier today.

The strike reportedly occurred in the Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas while Tangsiri was meeting with senior IRGC Navy commanders, according to Israeli officials.

Katz added that Israel would continue to operate against Iranian targets with “full force” to achieve the objectives of the ongoing conflict.

The killing marks a major escalation in tensions between Israel and Iran, as Tehran faces a direct attack on a high-ranking naval commander responsible for operations in one of the world’s most strategically important waterways.
