Barcelona rocked by fresh Raphinha setback

FC Barcelona have been hit with a fresh injury concern after confirming that Raphinha will be sidelined for around five weeks.

The Brazilian winger picked up a right hamstring injury while on international duty, after complaining of discomfort during Brazil’s clash with France.

Medical tests carried out by the Brazilian Football Federation confirmed the injury, with the player now set to return to Spain to begin treatment.

Barcelona, in a statement, said the expected recovery period is about five weeks — ruling Raphinha out of a crucial stretch of matches.

The development is a setback for manager Hansi Flick, with the team heading into key fixtures in both La Liga and the Champions League.

Raphinha is expected to miss high-profile encounters against Atlético Madrid, as well as other important league games, leaving Barcelona short in attack at a critical stage of the season.

His absence will force Flick to rethink his attacking options as the club battles to stay competitive on multiple fronts.
