He said the PDP leaders made a clear and compelling call on him to throw his hat in the ring for the 2027 governorship election in Oyo State.
“In direct response to this, I have formally declared my intention to contest. This decision goes beyond personal ambition. It is a responsibility shaped by the collective yearning of our people for focused, inclusive, and result-driven leadership,” Ogundoyin said.
I am grateful for the confidence reposed in me, and I accept this responsibility with a clear understanding of the demands ahead and an unwavering commitment to serve with integrity and purpose.
The Speaker added that he also met with stakeholders his constituency, Eruwa, in Ibarapa East Local Government, where he was also asked to contest the governorship election, says their “message was equally firm and aligned”
