Ace Nollywood actress, Toyin Adewale, has dismissed reports alleging that her son, popular singer Mayorkun, lost his Lagos residence to a fire outbreak.
A blog post circulating online had claimed that the singer’s home caught fire on Saturday night following an explosion, with suggestions that he and members of his family narrowly escaped.
Reacting via her Instagram page on Sunday, Adewale faulted the report, questioning its credibility and accusing the platform of publishing unverified information.
“…why would you do this? Don’t you verify your news before posting? This is seriously unfair,” she wrote.
The actress further expressed displeasure over the publication, stating that she was leaving those behind the report “to God.”
“My family and I will never cry, nor sorrow, nor evil shall befall us IJN. Please… learn to do better,” she added.
Adewale also took a moment to appreciate friends and family members who reached out following the viral report.
“To my family and friends, I say thank you so much for the calls and messages. I sincerely appreciate,” she said.
