Speaking at a recent conference on career growth and personal development, Abudu described her decision as a calling.
βI left my stable 9βtoβ5 oil and gas job at 40 to follow mine. It was a really nice job and there was no reason to leave, but I knew God wanted me to do something else,β she told the audience.
Before transitioning into media, Abudu held senior roles in human resources and training at ExxonMobil, a position she performed with distinction.
Yet, despite the security and prestige, she felt compelled to step out of her comfort zone to create a broader impact.
