Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has officially ruled out any possibility of a reunion with the early 2000s music group, Plantashun Boiz.

Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has officially ruled out any possibility of a reunion with the early 2000s music group, Plantashun Boiz.

Speaking during a radio interview with veteran media personality Steve Onu, also known as Yaw, the singer, best known for his iconic hit African Queen, made it clear that he has moved on from that stage of his career.

“Other members of the group can go ahead with their plans if they want, but as for me, I’m not interested,” 2Baba said.

“I have no conflict or disagreement with anyone, but for me personally, a reunion is not going to happen. I have moved on and I am focusing on the next chapter of my career.”

Plantashun Boiz, which consisted of 2Baba, Blackface, and Faze, rose to fame in the early 2000s with hit songs that helped shape the modern Afro-pop sound.

The group split amid internal disagreements, leaving fans longing for a final joint project or performance. Despite this, 2Baba’s comments suggest that the story of the trio has now reached a definitive end.

As 2Baba prepares to celebrate his 25th year in the music industry, he seems focused on solo projects, collaborations, and mentoring upcoming artists, rather than revisiting the past.

Fans can expect him to continue releasing music and performing, marking a new era in his career while leaving the Plantashun Boiz chapter behind.
