The University of Jos (UNIJOS) has announced that first semester exams will continue from Monday, April 13, 2026. Some exams were earlier postponed because of security concerns in the state.
This decision was made after a management meeting on Friday, April 3, 2026, where the school reviewed recent threats to students’ safety. These concerns had also led to an extension of the Easter holidays.
According to a statement by the Deputy Registrar, Emmanuel Madugu, the exams will resume with the ones that were postponed from March 30.
Students are advised to contact their faculty exam timetable officers if they need more information.
The school management assured students still on campus that security has been improved. They also urged everyone to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to the university’s security team.
Normal academic activities are expected to resume from Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
