Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has said that the opposition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), cannot win elections in Kano State.
He made this statement while speaking to supporters at the Government House in Kano after returning from the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja and the party’s Northwest Zonal Congress in Kaduna.
The governor said he is confident of winning a second term under the APC, adding that his government is working hard to improve the lives of the people.
According to him, ADC and other opposition parties are not strong enough to win elections in Kano or Nigeria.
He urged people not to be misled by other parties, insisting that the APC remains the strongest and most successful political party in the country.
Governor Yusuf also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he is doing his best to improve the economy and develop infrastructure across Nigeria.
He added that the people of Kano State will support Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The governor promised that his administration will continue to focus on development in areas like education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and support for youths and women.
Earlier, he was welcomed by a large crowd of supporters at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, who followed his convoy through major roads in the city before gathering at the Government House, where he addressed them.
