President Donald J. Trump has announced the successful rescue of a U.S. military officer who was behind enemy lines in Iran, describing the operation as one of the most daring search-and-rescue missions in U.S. history.

In a post on his Truth Social account today, Trump stated that the officer, a highly respected Colonel, was “hunted down by our enemies” in the treacherous mountains of Iran but is now “safe and sound” after sustaining injuries during the operation.

The president said the U.S. military deployed dozens of aircraft, equipped with advanced weaponry, under his direction to retrieve the officer. He also revealed that a separate rescue operation for another pilot took place yesterday, marking the first time in recent military memory that two U.S. pilots were rescued separately from deep enemy territory without any American casualties.

Trump hailed the missions as proof of “overwhelming air dominance and superiority over the Iranian skies” and described the U.S. military as “the best, most professional, and lethal” in history.

“This is a moment that ALL Americans, Republican, Democrat, and everyone else, should be proud of and united around,” he wrote, wishing the nation a “Happy Easter” and praising U.S. troops.
