Tobi Makinde opens up on rumoured fallout with Funke Akindele

Nollywood actor, Tobi Makinde has finally spoken up regarding his relationship with filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele.

The actor who gained popularity after his appearance in Funke Akindele’s productions, was rumoured to have fallen out with the actress after her noticeable absence from his wedding in 2025.

While speaking with BBC, Tobi cleared the air, stating that the narratives on social media are not based on facts. The actor also explained that some relationships shift due to transitions into different phases of life.

“I’m not aware of any fallout between madam Funke and I. Nothing really happened. Our relationship did not start on social media and no be for social media e go end. As you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they are lost in transit,” he said.
