The Iranian leader also condemned any form of disrespect toward Jesus Christ, describing him as a prophet of peace and unity, and urged global communities to uphold reverence for religious figures.
His remarks follow reports of controversial comments allegedly linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump, which have sparked renewed tension in discussions surrounding Iran–U.S. relations and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
The incident comes at a sensitive moment as international stakeholders continue to debate possible pathways toward renewed dialogue between Washington and Tehran.
