A new media technology platform, Pressford, is positioning itself to disrupt Nigeria’s often fragmented press release distribution landscape, as it begins to gain attention ahead of its official launch.
Developed under the Erumedia Group, Pressford is stepping into what industry observers describe as a long-standing gap in Nigeria and Africa’s media ecosystem—where organizations still struggle to efficiently distribute press releases and secure meaningful visibility.
Speaking on the challenge, the platform’s founder, Ayobami Eruobami, said the difficulty of press release distribution in Nigeria remains a major concern for brands, startups, and institutions.
“Despite the growth of digital media, press release distribution is still difficult and fragmented,” Eruobami said. “Many organizations are unable to get their stories to the right platforms at the right time, and that limits their visibility and impact.”
Eruobami, a practitioner in public relations and reputation management, noted that Pressford was built from years of firsthand experience navigating media engagement challenges.
According to him, the platform is designed to remove traditional barriers by simplifying the distribution process and improving how stories are targeted.
“We are creating a system that ensures press releases reach the right media outlets efficiently,” he said. “This is about moving away from outdated, manual processes to a smarter, technology-driven approach.”
Industry stakeholders say such innovation could reshape how communication professionals and businesses interact with the media, particularly in a fast-evolving digital environment.
Beyond its core distribution function, Pressford is also positioning itself as a strategic communication partner. Eruobami emphasized that storytelling remains central to the platform’s vision.
“Distribution alone is not enough,” he said. “We are also focused on helping brands tell better stories that build influence and credibility.”
As anticipation builds ahead of its rollout, Pressford is already being viewed as a potential game changer in Nigeria’s public relations space, with expectations that it could set new standards for press release distribution across Africa.
