UTME: Osun Police leadership visits CBT centers

At the behest of the Osun Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, mnips , the Command’s leadership represented by ACP Segun Abimbola Abifarin, AC Operations and Coordinator of School Protection Squad (SPS), and the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, on Friday conducted an official visit to all Computer-Based-Test (CBT) JAMB centers across the state.
The visit was part of the Command’s proactive measures to ensure a safe, orderly examination process for candidates participating in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
During the inspection, the AC Operations interacted with examination officials, security personnel, and candidates to assess the security arrangements in place.

The officers ensured that strict compliance with safety protocols and examination regulations were maintained across the centers.
Addressing the media and stakeholders, the PPRO emphasized the Command’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for candidates, stating, “The Osun State Police Command is dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of the examination process. We are here to ensure that candidates can write their exams without fear or disruption.”
The visit also included a review of emergency response strategies and a briefing for security personnel deployed at the centers.
Candidates expressed appreciation for the visible presence of the police, which reassured them and contributed to a more confident examination environment.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, reiterated its pledge to continue collaborating with educational authorities and examination bodies to maintain peace, order and fairness during all academic assessments across the state.
