Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode, popularly known for her role as Toyo Baby, has been certified as a professional therapist and counsellor after completing formal training in therapy.

Juliana, on her Instagram page, spoke about her passion for counselling, stating that it always came naturally to her. She explained that her pursuit was driven by her desire and passion to help individuals who appear fine externally but are going through emotional and mental battles.

“Another degree in the bag. Counselling people has always come naturally to me. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing people heal, grow, and experience real transformation. My desire to become a therapist was born from a deep longing to see people whole again. I have walked through painful and traumatic seasons, so I understand what pain looks like. I know what it means to smile while hurting, to carry heartache through sleepless nights, and to bear wounds so deep they touch every part of your life. Because of that, I knew I wanted more than personal experience or knowledge from books. I wanted the right training, wisdom, and tools to help people heal truly. For a long time, it stayed as a desire in my heart until I became certain it was the path God wanted for me,” she said.

Juliana expressed her heartfelt appreciation to God for seeing her through her professional degree. She also stressed her gratitude to her family and colleagues who supported her during the journey.

“Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to God because I can now officially call myself a professional therapist and counsellor. The journey was not easy. There were moments I almost gave up because of how demanding it was, trying to balance it with work and other responsibilities. But God carried me through,” she stated.
