“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement read.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of results for candidates who sat the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Monday, April 20.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, said candidates who sat the examination on that day could now check their scores through the approved channels.

“The results for Monday, 20th, have been released. Candidates can view their results using the usual process,” the statement read.

According to the board, candidates are required to send “UTMERESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the same telephone number they used during registration.

The latest release forms part of JAMB’s phased publication of results since the nationwide examination began on Thursday, April 16. More than two million candidates are taking part in the computer based exercise conducted at centres across the country.

Results have been issued in batches tied to each day of the examination. The board had earlier published the outcomes for candidates who wrote on Thursday, followed by a combined release for those examined on Friday, April 17, and Saturday, April 18.

However, the Friday and Saturday batch was delayed, contrary to the board’s initial indication that it would be ready on Saturday. The development sparked frustration among candidates who had anticipated an earlier release.
JAMB later apologised for the delay, explaining that its chief executive was unavailable due to an official engagement.

The results were eventually made public on Sunday, April 19, paving the way for the processing and release of the subsequent batches, including Monday’s results.
