‘Never kneel to propose to women,’ Yul Edochie tells men

Nollywood actor Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, popularly known as Yul Edochie has made a controversial take about a practice done by men while proposing marriage to women.

The actor on his X handle urged men to stop kneeling down when proposing to women, claiming that it degrades them. Yul encouraged them to rather propose while standing, stating that it shows confidence and pride.

”If men know how stupid they look when they kneel to propose to a woman, they’ll never indulge in such crap. Never you kneel to propose to a woman. Never. Stand proudly like the King that you are and propose to her. If she says you must kneel down to propose to her or she leaves, let her go. Any woman who truly loves you will not watch you make a fool of yourself. Dump her. She doesn’t love you. Never make a fool of yourself because of a woman,” he said.

His controversial statement quickly stirred mixed reactions from users with some claiming that his advise to men come from a place of hurt over his failed marriage.
