The agency said it has noticed that many creators are now including the EFCC in comedy videos and other digital productions without approval.
In a video shared on X, the EFCC explained that these portrayals often give the wrong impression about how the Commission operates. It stressed that it has not allowed anyone to use its identity in such content.
The EFCC stated that it does not support or approve any comedy, drama, or online production that uses its name or image without written permission.
It advised the public to stop using its identity in any content unless they first get official approval. The agency also warned that anyone who ignores this directive will face legal action.
