Nigerian rapper Olamide has opened up about the fears he feels before performing on stage, citing traumatic experiences from his past performances as the reason behind his anxiety.

In an interview with popular YouTuber Korty EO, the Baddo crooner revealed that his nervousness stems from past incidents where he was attacked during performances. Olamide shared unsettling moments where audience members would unexpectedly grab his chain or hat, leaving him startled and shaken.

“I get nervous every time I am going on stage. I’ve had too many crazy experiences while performing. Someone from nowhere will just come and grab your chain or your hat, you don’t even know what to expect,” Olamide explained.

The rapper described these moments as frightening, highlighting the toll these experiences have taken on his confidence and his mindset before hitting the stage.

He stressed that these traumatic events have made him wary about future performances, despite his immense success as one of Nigeria’s top music artists.
