The Dangote Group has denied reports claiming that its president, Aliko Dangote, is having a disagreement with Tony Elumelu, chairman of United Bank for Africa.

In a statement released on Saturday, the company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, described the report as false and misleading. He said neither Dangote nor the company made any such statements.

The group also dismissed claims that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals project was funded through personal loans from friends. According to the statement, these claims are completely untrue and misrepresent how the project was financed.

The company stressed that Aliko Dangote does not rely on personal borrowing from friends to fund his projects. It challenged anyone making such claims to provide clear evidence.

It also denied any bad relationship between Dangote and Tony Elumelu, stating that both men still share a long-standing and cordial relationship.

In addition, the company raised concerns about the growing spread of fake content, including AI-generated materials using Dangote’s name and image. It warned that such actions could damage reputations and may involve fraud.

The Dangote Group warned individuals and organizations spreading false information to stop immediately or face legal action. It added that it remains committed to maintaining integrity while promoting industrial growth and development across Africa.
