The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), in Edo State, has vowed to invite the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to beam searchlights on some projects of Governor Monday Okpebholo especially the two fly-overs.

CRPP in a statement on Tuesday and signed by its national chairman, Dr. Samson Isibor challenged Governor Okpebholo to disclose the cost for the construction of the two flyovers which the Governor had invited celebrities to inspect.

The statement said the best achievements of the Governor Okpebholo-led administration has not met expectations of the masses.

It added that the Edo people deserved to know when the flyovers were advertised for bidding and how many firms submitted bids.

“At what cost did Okpebholo awarded the Ramat Park flyover bridge to the Chinese company and what is the timeline for the completion of the bridge? When were they advertised for bidding and in which national newspapers?

“Besides the Chinese Firm they were awarded to, which other firms bidded for the construction? The people of Edo State deserve to know the answers to those pertinent questions, it is their right.

“We are putting the government of Okpebholo on notice that we shall be inviting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to beam its searchlights on these projects that are now the talk of the town,” the statement said.

Responding to the allegations, the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince Kassim Afegbua, described the CRPP as a scam.

“We will not glorify [CRPP] with a response. Edo people are not blind, they can see the visible signs of our intervention,” Afegbua said.
