Nigeria’s relay star, Rosemary Nwankwo, has described qualifying for the World Athletics Championships as a defining moment in her career.
Speaking after Team Nigeria’s success at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, she said competing on such a stage and securing qualification ranks among her greatest achievements.
Nwankwo revealed the team overcame a baton error scare to bounce back strongly and seal their spot. She expressed gratitude for the second chance and credited the team’s determination.
“This is my biggest tournament so far, and I’m grateful. We stayed focused, gave our best, and made it count,” she said.
