Nollywood actress and filmmaker Uche Montana has achieved a remarkable digital milestone, as her latest film, Monica 2, surged past 15 million views on YouTube within just five days of its release.

The highly anticipated sequel, which premiered on May 2, 2026, on her official channel, Uche Montana TV, recorded explosive growth, further cementing the rising influence of digital distribution in Nollywood.

Within hours of its debut, the film captivated audiences, racking up approximately 1.2 million views in just four hours. The numbers climbed rapidly to over 4 million within the first 12 hours and crossed 6 million within 24 hours.

By May 7, Monica 2 had crossed the 15 million mark. A check by PM News on Friday morning confirmed that the film had reached a staggering 15,838,007 views.
