Davido opens up on father’s influence on his kids’ upbringing”

Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has opened up on his family background, describing his father, Adedeji Adeleke, as his biggest role model in life while praising his parenting style.

While speaking during an interview on Ndani.tv, the artist revealed that his father played a major role in the person he has become today. He added that contrary to the public perception about him and his siblings, his mother only birthed him and his sister, Sharon.

Davido explained that despite having different mothers, his father maintained unity in the family and raised all the children with love and balance.

”My mom had only Sharon and I, she’s like my second mom and I didn’t even know my mom wasn’t their mom till I was 8 years old and I applaud my dad for that cause it’s same thing I want to do for my kids too,” she stated.

Davido, currently a father of five children with four different women, has his first daughter, Imade, with Sophia Momodu, while his second child, Hailey, with US-based Amanda. He also has twins with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, and another son with UK-based makeup artist Larissa London.
