Nigerian singer, Oluwatosi Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has opened up on the reason behind his reluctance to listen to songs made by his colleague, Burna Boy.
While speaking on the Afropolitan Podcast, the artist revealed that his decision was not born out of rivalry or spite, stressing that he is a big fan of Burna Boy.
Eazi, however, revealed that he he does not want his own sound to be influenced by that of Burna Boy, hence his decision.
“Burna is one of the only guys that I like, I’m genuinely a fan of. I don’t even like to listen to Burna. I’ve said it before, because I’m a sponge. If I listen to so much Burna, you will hear it in my music so I try my best to stay away from Burna,” he stated.
The duo had previously worked together on the song ‘Miss You Bad’ from Mr Eazi’s 2018 project, Life Is Eazi, Vol. 2 – Lagos To London.
