Bucci Franklin opens up on his path to drug abuse

Nollywood Award-winning actor, Bucci Franklin, has opened up on his childhood and the impact of his father’s abandonment on his life.

While speaking with Chude Jideonwo, Bucci revealed that he was singlehandedly raised by his mother after his dad abandoned them.

He disclosed that living without a father figure gave him a messy childhood and made him involve himself in consuming hard drugs. Bucci also spoke about the importance of a father figure for the boy child, lauding his mother for carrying the weight of his upbringing.

“I was a hot mess as a child. My dad abandoned me. My mom raised me alone, and I turned to drugs,” Franklin said.
