The Ondo State Police Command says security operatives have been deployed to Akotogbo in Irele Local Government Area after the bodies of two residents were discovered in separate locations within the community.

The victims, identified as Loyinmi Bode and Andrew Friday, were reportedly found dead in bush areas at different times over the past month, raising anxiety among residents of the agrarian settlement.

The incidents have created tension within the community, with many locals urging security agencies and the state government to take urgent action to prevent further violence.

Speaking on the development on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abayomi Jimoh, said the command had already taken measures to maintain peace and reassure residents.

According to him, the police remain committed to safeguarding lives and property across the state and would not relent in ensuring public safety.
