Why I have a problem with Wizkid – Carter Efe opens up

Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has spoken on his relationship with afrobeats star, Wizkid, revealing that prior to popular beliefs, he loves him.

While speaking during an interview with BBC Pidgin, Carter Efe disclosed that he loves Wizkid’s craft, noting that despite being open about his admiration, he constantly gets ignored by the singer.

“My relationship with him? I love Wizkid. I won’t lie. I love Wizkid. I love his craft, man. But I have issues with his personality. I showed that guy love, he didn’t show me love. But I still love his music and style,” he stated.

Carter Efe had in 2022, released a song ‘Machala’ made as a tribute to Wizkid. The artist however, never publicly acknowledged it or Efe in any official capacity.
