AY calls for shared responsibility in relationships

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, has  spoken on the need for accountability and a sense of responsibility amongst adults.

The media executive, while weighing in on marital controversies and how society jumps to choose sides, explained that one wrong should not justify the other.

AY explained that both parties involved in marriages need to learn to accept responsibility instead of shifting blame.

“We have normalised choosing sides so much that we no longer ask what truly went wrong. Emotional neglect is painful. Betrayal is painful too. One hurt should not automatically become justification for another. Maybe relationships would survive more if accountability was shared instead of outsourced.” he stated.
