“I don’t fear. Mallam has his bail conditions set, he’s in good health, so I don’t know what this whole fear thing is about,” Mohammed said.

Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has expressed defiance following his father’s detention by the Department of State Services (DSS).

Speaking shortly after the former governor was granted N100m bail, the Kaduna lawmaker said his family harbors no fear over his father’s safety, and that the DSS should instead be concerned.

“I don’t fear. Mallam has his bail conditions set, he’s in good health, so I don’t know what this whole fear thing is about,” Mohammed said.

He issued a direct warning to the security agency, challenging any notion that harm could befall his father: “And whoever thinks something would happen to Mallam wrongly, we dare them. So, there is no fear. I am an El-Rufai, there are no fears. Let justice prevail.”

Mohammed also declared that the family has full confidence in the legal process, underscoring that his father has complied with all bail requirements.

“The country has changed, and that’s my opinion,” he added, signaling a firm stance on Nigeria’s evolving political and judicial landscape.

The remarks come amid continued public concern over the former governor’s health and the circumstances surrounding his detention, despite fulfilling all bail conditions.
