Out of the 11 aspirants, eight are from Ibadan, two are from the Oke-Ogun area, while one is from Ogbomoso.
The aspirants from Ibadan are:
Senator Sharafadeen Ali
Former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu
Dr Adewale Kareem
Barrister Akeem Agbaje
Engineer Akeem Alao
Dr Ayobami Lam-Adesina
Prince Musbau Asatola
Mr Ololade Usman
Other aspirants include:
Senator Abdulfatai Buhari from Ogbomoso
Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin from Oke-Ogun
Former Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan from Oke-Ogun
Oyo State has five political zones: Ibadan, Ibarapa, Ogbomoso, Oke-Ogun and Oyo.
The chairman of the APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primaries Committee, Taofeek Olawale Abdulsalam, confirmed that all aspirants were cleared by the screening committee to participate in the primary election.
